Notice is hereby given that a vote of the Rural Municipality of Dufferin will be taken to elect the Reeve and Councillors (4) from the following duly nominated candidates:

For the Office of Reeve:

• Elaine R. Owen
• Cor Lodder

For the offices of Councillor:

Ward 2 (1 Councillor)

• Clayton Morgan
• Jason Dunn

Ward 3 (1 Councillor)

• Marcia Vandenbos
• Brent Dunn

Ward 5 (1 Councillor)

• Barrie Fraser

Ward 6 (1 Councillor)

• Darren Colvin
• Peter Gilbraith

The following nominated candidates are hereby elected by acclamation:
Councillors: John Peckover – Ward 1 and Sheldon Harder – Ward 4

VOTING PLACES

Voting places will be open for voting for Reeve for Wards 1, 2, 3 and 5, and for Councillors for Ward 2, Ward 3 and Ward 5 on Wednesday the 28th day of October 2026 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Carman Community Hall, 60 1st Ave NW, Carman, Manitoba.
Voting places will be open for voting for Reeve for Wards 4 and 6, and for Councillor for Ward 6 on Wednesday the 28th day of October 2026 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Roseisle EM Church, 97 Main Ave, Roseisle, Manitoba.

IDENTIFICATION MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE.                                                                                                                                                                                                        

A person may be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example - driver’s license or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

ADVANCE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at the Rural Municipality of Dufferin office, 12-2nd Avenue SW, Carman and will be open during each of the following days Thursday, October 15th, 2026 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 20th, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, October 21st, 2026 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE

A voter, who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by fax to the senior election official at 12-2nd Avenue SW, Box 100, Carman MB or fax 204-745-6348. If applying in person*, a voter may apply by October 23rd, 2026.
* A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.
